Zagreb is the capital and the largest city of the Republic of Croatia. It is located in the northwest of the country, along the Sava river, at the southern slopes of the Medvednica mountain.
Zagreb lies at an elevation of approximately 122 m (400 ft) above sea level.
The centre of Zagreb is divided into two parts: Gornji Grad (Upper Town) and Donji Grad (Lower Town).
Because of its historical structures, churches and religious monuments, Gornji Grad has a great historic value attached to it and is considered a tourist paradise.
Donji Grad, on the other hand, mostly consists of shops, cafes, museums, and parks. Attractions that are far from the city are easily accessible by bus or tram.
Being in the central location, we are surrounded with plenty of food options ranging from budget oriented street food to Michelin star restaurants, all within the walking distance of less than 10 minutes.
Bars & Lounges
As the capital and largest city of Croatia, Zagreb is home to all types of bars and lounges to choose from. Whatever the time of year, you can rest assured you will find a good bar or a lounge you can relax and socialize in within the city center.
The city consists of two parts – Upper Town (also known as The Old Town) and Lower Town where we are located in. The beautiful cobblestone streets and red-tiled rooftops in medieval Upper Town are a perfect place to begin your sightseeing adventures, located just a stone’s throw from your accommodation.
Outdoor & Adventure
Zagreb is located at the base of a mountain Medvednica. It should take you no more than 30 minutes to find yourself at the bottom of the mountain where you can choose between several trails that lead to Sljeme peak where you can enjoy the view of the whole city.
Whether you prefer staying in the city and taking a hop-on hop-off bus tour of the historic city center or don’t mind leaving Zagreb for a day and visit some of the breathtaking landmarks such as Plitvice Lakes, Zagreb’s tour agencies have you covered, and we will gladly help you organize your perfect day trip.
Art & Culture
As soon as you arrive in Zagreb, you will realize just how big of a role art and culture have. From the street art and murals you can find all over the city center, to museums and art galleries for you to choose from.
